Step 1: Use eye shadow primer to cover eye lids.

Step 2: Cover your lid with “Baked”.

Step 3: Using scotch tape, line the outside of your eyes so as you add your other shadows, you won’t have to worry about trying to make a straight line with a brush.

Step 4: Start to brush ‘Lost’ on the outside corner of your lid and over your crease. Next your going to highlight the area right under your brow with ‘Skimp’.

Step 5: Remove scotch tape from your eyes to reveal the nice clean straight line. Using ‘Midnight Cowgirl’, very carefully brush a small amount on the inside corner of your eye.

Step 6: Add eyeliner and mascara.

Step 7: Your done!

Here are the Eye products that I am using right now and which...

Here are the Eye products that I am using right now and which were used on my previous post.

For an eye primer, I think that Urban Decay has a great one that is now my favorite. It’s called their eyeshadow primer potion. It’s a small tube but all you need is one tiny drop to cover our whole eyelid. An eye primer is very important because it prevents eye shadows from creasing and keeps them vibrant all day. Urban Decay products can be found at Sephora.

For an eye liner, Maybelline New York’s Ultra Liner is a fantastic liquid liner that’s waterproof and cheap in price at about $6 at Target.

For Mascara, I have a few favorites but right now I am using Buxom’s black mascara which makes my lashes look way fuller and bigger but if your looking for something on the least pricey side, Wet n’ Wild has a waterproof mega length mascara that is not clumpy and lasts long. It casing is blue and can be found at Target. If your looking for the Buxom mascara, I got mine at Sephora.

This is my basic purple eye shadow tutorial using my Urban Decay...

This is my basic purple eye shadow tutorial using my Urban Decay NYC Box of Shadows 3 set from Sephora. If you can’t find this exact set, I’ve added photos of the colors of shadows I used to create this look so you can use similar colors to get the same effect.

Step 1: Use an eye shadow primer, it will make your shadows stay on longer and stay brighter.

Step 2: I like to use regular scotch tape to line my eyes so when I am done applying my shadows, I will end up with a nice clean straight line. I know it may look strange, but trust me it works.

Step 3: I used ‘Midnight Cowboy Rides Again’ as a highlighter and brushed it right under my eyebrows. Then I applied ‘Last Call’ all over my lid.

Step 4: Next I applied ‘Psychedelic Sister’ on the crease of my eye.

Step 5: Then I added just a touch of the gold shade ‘Maui Wowie’ on the inside of my lid.

Step 6: The last shadow applied is the darkest ‘Rockstar’ which was used on the very outside corner of my lids.

Step 7: Now it’s time to peel away the tape.

Step 8: Use foundation and pressed powder to clean up any shadows that may have landed on your cheek.

Step 9: Add a little eye liner and mascara and you are done!

Lets start with the very basics. Before all the shadows, blush, and lipstick you have start with a foundation… literally. I used to always wear MAC foundation and pressed powder but then soon realized that it was quite expensive to keep re-buying it. I loved it because it would cover EVERYTHING even all the dark freckles on the right side of my face. Then after to trying to find a replacement and constantly being disappointed, I found a winner! Maybelline New York has a line called “FIT me” and it is amazing. I use the foundation and pressed powder and it covers up absolutely everything! It’s also so affordable at around $6 each at Target.

Welcome

Welcome to my beauty blog where I will posting all of my favorite tips, tricks, tutorials, and products with everyone. I’ve been asked quite a few times from people what kind of make up do I use, what kind of brushes I have, how do I blend my eye shadows and many others, so I have created this blog to answer all of those questions and hopefully inspire others to create beautiful works of art.
